Perseids Meteor Shower Coincides With Friday Tini Time

The most wonderful day of the week just got a little wonderfuller. The Perseids meteor shower is near its peak tonight. On a Friday. The night we all raise our martini glasses to the sky anyway.

Well, now we can raise them as we watch shooting stars in the sky.

According to

"The Perseid meteor shower peaked overnight on Aug. 11 and 12 as Earth passed through the long trail left by Comet Swift-Tuttle, wowing night-owl skywatchers lucky enough to have good weather and clear, dark skies."

Apparently there will be as many as 80-200 meteors per hour! Here's a link to the full article.

That's a lot of glass raising, so make sure you've got a great glass to raise. Like, I dunno, "The Patriot" (pictured) with its star-spangled rim? Ha!

Keep on grailin'!
